Biography
Dr. Stainback has an interdisciplinary background in natural resource management, economics, and environmental policy. Before coming to Baylor, he was a faculty member at SUNY-Plattsburgh and the University of Kentucky. He has also worked for an environmental non-profit organization in South Florida and was an environmental consultant in Rwanda. He has taught courses covering a range of topics including ecological economics, environmental law, and environmental management. He enjoys helping students develop the critical thinking skills and knowledge necessary to analyze environmental problems from a variety of disciplinary perspectives. He has ongoing research and consulting projects in economic valuation of ecosystem services, ecological-economic modelling, and sustainable development in both the domestic and international context.
